Internet Safety

At Stage Door Designs, we prioritize keeping our clients up to date and well informed on all of the latest developments in the tech world. Unfortunately, sometimes this means warning against malware and scams that could be a serious threat.

We want to make our customers aware of an issue that has presented itself recently. If you handle your own domain name, and you receive an email from GoDaddy, that's quite alright! However, if WE hold your domain name and you receive an email and/or charge from GoDaddy, more times than not, that is a cause for concern.

If we hold your domain, you should ONLY hear from Stage Door Designs when a charge must be made, or for any updates regarding your domain name. If you receive an email or charge from anything that is NOT Stage Door Designs, please contact us immediately so that we can work with GoDaddy to get the issue sorted out. We would hate to see something happen to your website or for a charge to be made that you are unfamiliar with.

We have also received questions from our clients and unfortunately have had a few incidents about notices from a company called Internet Domain Name Services, or IDNS. Please be advised, this is not a legitimate company. The Better Business Bureau warns that this company sends domain expiration notices that claims failure to respond will result in a loss of your internet identity. Our clients at Stage Door Designs only receive legitimate updates regarding your website directly from us. If you receive any emails regarding your domain that do not come from Stage Door Designs, please reach out and confirm with us directly as it is most likely a scam. Your protection is important to us, and we are happy to assist if any issues related to this come up.
