As clients audition and book we begin to hear more and more about their need (sometimes requirement) to post on social media. Facebook, Instagram and of course Twitter are the most popular ways to do that.
Here are some quick tips on how to be sure you are doing it right as well as when to and when NOT to! If tweeting is part of your job (and it is) and we can help to set up social media for you, just holler. We stand ready to fill your actor's toolbox with everything you need to support your success!
RULE #1: Make sure you are allowed to post. Often times actors are asked to sign a Non-disclosure agreement (or NDA). If you are restricted from posting, then don't!
More often that not, once you book the job, your employer will want you to help get the word out. Here are some things to consider as you plan and implement your social media strategy.
There's an unlimited way to share your journey with fans and family. Keep these tips in mind as you navigate through social posting. Don't forget to post cast parties, wrap parties, review links, award ceremonies and other milestones. We can't wait to see what you are sharing with your fans!
What's that you say? Not working right now? Perfect time for a throwback to a prior job. We love those too!
